We've been trying to break the lists with some mono-builds. We might have an issue with plague towers (you can have 6 of them in an 11 activation army). One idea could be to make every support formation 0-3 just to make people mix things up a bit in their list builds. Other than that this is a really fun list!

The Orks list was also quite slow (lots of Big Gunz formations, orks on foot... but 3 x 3 Fightas, Landa, a couple of Slorcha fms...), and deployment was corners, so quite a stalemate with each army on their half of the table.

We weren't sure so we used Flamers as just 1 x 3+ FF, instead of 2 x 4+ FF.

Plague towers seemed ok at 20cm speed, but the kind of enemy suited them well. Contagion engines the same.

Everything else seems quite average.

So....can anybody confirm that Plague Towers have a 20cm move and Flamers are 1xFF 3+ ????

Flamers are certainly a single 3+FF to bring them in line with other lists.
Plague Towers are currently being tested at 15cm rather than 20cm move. 15cm certainly makes them a less offensive unit/transport, but they seem to work OK like that alongside faster moving Altars and Khorne Daemonic assault transports.

Interestingly, I recently came across some alternative stats for Plague Towers in a set of Australian lists, but have no idea if those lists are active or not. Anyway, they had:

325pt
Speed 20cm
Armour 4+ dropped to 5+
Plague Mortar dropped to 3BP but gains Ignore Cover
Rot Cannon swapped for a third Battlecannon

Faster and less robust looks like a reasonable choice, but I'm not sure about being able to Double and get Disrupt hits on infantry in cover in the enemy DZ on 5s.

Ok thanks, we will keep using and testing the Flamers at a single 3+FF.

But the Plague Tower stats seem odd. Last time I checked it was 20cm move in both LatD REDUX and Death Guard...

At 15 cm move it seems quite underwhelming... But I can do with that and keep playing. I'm using the LatD REDUX a lot and it would help if somedoby updates the list, and we push it foward to "official".

Note that the Plague Tower still being 20cm in the Death Guard list is a typo, which I've fixed in the update that went up today.

And I need just another confirmation: Tzeench Doomwing's Flame cannon was upgraded to 30cm, and it stays that way, right??

Hi all! Just noticed the above discussion about the 15 cm move for the Plague Tower. However, it is 20 in the PDF (version 0.3). So which is it? Is the 15 move a current test or is it supposed to be 15 in the 0.3 list?

Nitpick, MikeT wrote above that it was staying at 15cm, so maybe it was a typo. IJW wrote something similar about it and the Death Guard list.

What hasn't been confirmed is this one, but seeing that the others are being kept as normal is probably staying like always at 15cm too.

So the PTs should really be 15 cm move, not 20, in the 0.3 list then? If so, then it seems a bit harsh not to let them march. Or was the test something done to progress beyond the 0.3 version? Maybe this was explained last year at some point, but I really do not remember how this was reasoned.
