I'm not usually one for scenery.

In fact building a full gaming board in this style isn't something I've done before, and thus I've been chronicallingits progress with more than just a few photos.

Once Salute has passed, there are plans to put the board to good use playing a game or two of epic as well as plenty of DRM & of course future shows too!

I've started to put up pictures in its own thread on the DRM forums rather than filling my "Mercenary's Workbench" with them.

Mainly for my own reference in future to be honest, but I thought some on here might also be interested  :p

Cool, you're using those nice 6mm base pieces... I must get some for my own purposes (I want to do an Anphellion board) :)

Hi,

There were many pictures taken of the board as we played so I can understand how the Outpost could get swallowed up. Especially as there were Kraytonian forces defending it.

I will be putting up a review over the next few days regarding the scenario and the forces that were being used.

The main thing was that the board caught a lot of attention and there were many people asking questions and getting interested in what we were trying to do.

Paul did some excellent work doing the scenary and painting both armies to make this show possible. ?Without the huge effort DRM wouldnt have been there and he did us proud. ?

We had a lot of fun and it was funny to see people not wanting to lose the game. ?That includes members of the team playing the game. ?Thanks to everyone who helped out, it was quite a day.

Doug

I like to think that I didnt lose a game all day... of course this was mainly due to my ability to edge round to the other side of the table when things were looking grim!  :D

You did seem to be particularly good at that mate!

Also your timing for lunch was superb. Dissappear when all hope appears lost for your forces & re-appear when there's been a huge turnaround in the game, just in time to claim victory!

Truly the signs of a veteran general I think  :;):

Seeing as I was mainly acting somewhat as Umpire where the game itself was concerned (ie when not talking about display miniatures or upcoming DRM stuff!), I was just filling in gaps & answering rules enquiries on all fronts, so I dont think I can claim any victories as such, but equally I didn't lose either  :blues:
