Bases look fine. On another side, the moridian mini looks like a joke...

I'm guessing it's up to par with the rest of their miniatures. It looks clean, well-sculpted, and reasonable for a tractor-trailer rig and missile (though the missile itself is lacking something....)

The problem with the picture, I'd venture, is that their paint jobs have suffered of late. I found that the Hunter looked underwhelming as well.

GHQ does a great Scud missile launcher, totally better than that.

Bringing in GHQ is like bringing a gun to a knife fight.

The Rest of the DRM models are great ! I don't have a problem with the Missile as for detail, it's just a simple design. Look at the V2, for example. And this new DRM missile could easily work for a Deathstike ... ;D

Yeah, I think the thing that bothered me about the missile was that the red paint on the nose cone and the fins didn't really follow the casting itself, which makes the figure look a bit goofier than it should.

It is interesting that GHQ packages one launcher with three missiles.

I will admit to being somewhat biased, but the SoulDagger really is a fantastic model. It is a little tricky to assemble (ask Stormseer who had to put it together in the opening 30 minutes of the Salute show, with bad lighting and superglue that wouldnt set!) but it does look very impressive on the table - even more than the pictures make out.

QFT.

Why does it look so gold in the picture? Is it a polished investment casting?

Well we can't all be Tuffskull... ::)
I ain't a Golden Deamon winner (and never will be).

The paint job (on the Hunter) does look better in real life but there isn't enough contrast in the camo for it to stand out clearly in the photo. I've learnt a bit since then.
I'll try and do better next time (if given the opportunity) to get the Carrington seal of approval ;D .

Sorry. Actually I'm quite sure it looks much better 'in the pewter.' Or is that 'in the paint?'
You're absolutely right, the problem I have with the Hunter, and for the most part with the Moridian, is the lack of contrast.

I didn't paint the Mordian so I won't comment on that.

No worries Carrington, it's all good (hence the smilies on my post).
