Fair cop, if I wasn't censored, I'll re-post quite happilly
I picked up a moridian launcher at Salute & will be making it into an objective soon. It was made by a new sculptor, and you can see the style change in it, but its a nice enough piece. One thing I did find funny was that it comes with each wheel as a seperate piece. I can understand the sculptor making the master like that, so that they can get uniformality, but I was surprised the master castings weren't used to make the wheels part of the cab and trailer sections.
Very handy for a destroyed objective version though
Good to see the unit finally get a model - sure I wont be saying that when I have to face it on the table though
With regards the painting - I had the advantage of taking my time on the studio models and indeed having my own photography setup when I was working for DRM. Knowing how one works well with the other is a real plus.
We all know Onyx's painting is superb, so I guess its just a clash of styles with his painting & the photography being used by Doug. I do agree though that the missile's paintjob is a tad cartoony. Shame though, as they are nice figures & do look better in the flesh.
