Can someone please advise on how to thin the mounts on early production EW troops (Jump infantry), the ones I have are over 1mm thick (some near 2mm).

Tks

Use a metal file like you find at a Hardware store( or your garage or tool shed) ... I've done it with both Exodus Wars and DRM figures ... no problem !

I agree with L4 – big metal file, run the bases down it. I've filed down the bases of 100s of MWG 6mm figs, not that bad, just stick a film on at get to it.

pair of pliers with bicycle inner tube glued to the grips to protect the figure (most have relatively 2d plane), whilst running a bench sander. 1 model at time: done in minutes, not hours!

zero casualties: the metal is so soft it only requires a gentle touch

I did it ... didn't take as long as you may think ... and I did a little at a time ... like like a platoon size unit (40) ...
