Exactly :)

On Sentinels: Perhabs changing the Support Formation: Sentinel Squadron to Scout Company and have it with 7 Sentinels (thats 1 HQ Sentinel and 2 Squadrons of 3 Sentinels, off course no special stats for the HQ Sentinel) for 150 points?
Or with 10 Sentinels for 200 points?

And what about changing the Deathstrikes Missile to Virus-Warheads*? Any ideas about what effect this would have?
MW3+ but places the Barrage Template (similar to the Fanatic Online Nr.30 article about Warheads)?

*Ok Von Straab used them in the 2nd War for Armageddon and most of them failed or hit something else than Orks but i guess after the war the supplies would be refreshed and in a better condition?

I was under the impression from perusing IA books that sentinel squadrons were 4 strong. Heres a page from IA that shows part of a recon company, note it has two comand elements on a previous page.

As to costing 10 sentinels would surely be more than 200 as they can occupy a large area and if used well and take several rounds of firing to destroy?

Thats strange. Beacuse in Codex Imperial Guard you buy Sentinels in Squadrons of 1-3 Sentinels. And the "Emperors's Claw/Talon" Scout Company in Wh40k Apocalypse has 1 HQ Sentinel and 3 Squadrons of Sentinels consisting of 3 Sentinels each. Plus an optional Support Sentinel Squadron consisting of 1 Support Sentinel.

But else: You are not totally against a Scout Company in this list?

If you think it works bl, however if you do it sorta shares a lot of ground with dismounted infantry and crosses over the two scout formations. You have to think of what its there for as opposed to it can go in.

Hmm...wel for no will leave at is with the Sentinels.

Version 2.1 now downloadable here.

Changes:
- Hive Militia now Core Formation which restriction andno upgrades.
- Infantry Platoon now only as "Guard" for the Leviathan.
- Changed several open topped vehicles as Armageddon Pattern.
- Changed Deathstrikes missile to Virus Missile.
- Removed Leman Russ vom Tank upgrade. Changed Demolisher to Mars Pattern
- Added Conqueror stats
- Added Chimera Defender with stats
- Removed Squadron, Platoon, etc from Upgrades names to make it more clear that this aren't separate formations.
- Reworded Snipers upgrade. Making it 1-2 Snipers makes the wording to fiddly.
- Added Lightning and Lightning Strike
- Removed Marauder

So waht do you think guys?
What about my idea of upping the Leviathan to DC6 and 4 Voidshields? Would this be more appropiate for a 500pts war engine?

What about including the Hellhammer? At least he is painted in Armageddon Ash Wastes camo in the Apocalpyse book. But i fear it will fulfill a similar role as the Stormsword.

- Introducing variant aircraft and removing the core aircraft has me disappointed.

- Having a variant Leman Russ Demolisher feels gratuitous.

- I don't think +1 armour save is worth 25pts for the Hydra. Try two for 125pts?

- Increase Stormsword's main gun range to 45cm.

- Why is the 3 Leman Russ tank upgrade only 150pts?

- Why are Griffons with +1 armour save 150pts! (They're terrible at 100!) :D

- I suggest not including the Hellhammer at this stage, not when you already have several other highly experimental vehicle stat sets in the list.



- DELETE the Xeno Fighters Special Rule. This list will never pass muster with this Special Rule included.

Why?

I have the feeling that Armageddon isn't so keen on pruducing Plasma weapons. And with Heavy Bolter sponsons the Demolisher can be made cheaper.

Hmmm why should the Steel Legion allowed double the number of Hydras per formation as upgrade? I would rather drop the points cost.

Yes if the Minervan one will change too.

Leman Russ Conquerors is 150pts. The Leman Russ Battletank upgrade is gone. Is the LRBT upgrade needed?

120pts perhabs? I find Griffons useful...at least on paper :)

It is up to the player if he will pay the points for this.
Yes, rarely it will be taken but i like to leave it included for fluff purposes.
Else: Is it a waste of points or to good against Orks?

Hmm i have a bad feeling with all the Armageddon pattern variants (which basically turns 6+ saves into 5+ saves on several  tanks based on the Chimera's chassis).

On alternate aircrafts: How about including the Lightnings (perhabs not the Strike variant) in addition to the Thunderbolt and Marauder? Still only as formations of two aircrafts off course.

Now the stats for both Lightnigs and Marauder Destroyer seems to be somewhat stable for the time being i included them in the list togehter with the standart IN aircrafts.

I'm thinking about toremove the Leman Russ Demolisher with the Heavy Bolter sponsons and stick to the rulebook Leman Russ Demolisher with Plasma Cannons.
And i thinki will switch the Bombard for the Colossus. This will only be a name change, because the Colossus is a Bombard with a Chimera chassis while the Bombard has a Leman Russ chassis (well at least the Wh40k sized one from Forgewolrd).
So the Epic model will match the Codex Imperial Guard Colossus more than the Imperial Armour Bombard  :laugh:

Update to V2.3!

- Removed the Heavy Bolter Demolisher. Now the standart Plasma Cannon Demolisher is used.
- Removed Sentinel Platoon and added Stompa Hunters (inspired from new Apocalypse datasheet).
- Sentinel renamed Armoured Sentinel Armour improved to 5+ and lost Scout.
- Changed the effect of the Virus Missile of the Armageddon Deathstrike.
- Renamed Stormtrooper Platoon to Storm Trooper Task Force.

* Didn't Jervis say "No!" to void shields on the Leviathan?

* Command Platoon should have only three Chimeras (there's only six stands).

* A CHIMERA with Titan Killer?!
