If anyone could offer some clarification on the following questions, that'd be brill.

1) Do company upgrades on the Steel Legion list (such as flak or fire support platoons) have a limit of 1? Armyforge brings up a [Max 1] note if you do take these upgrades; but this stipulation doesn't appear anywhere in the Army List Compendium, as far as I can see.

2) If so, is the tank squadron a single upgrade – and you choose Leman Russ Battle Tanks (LRBT) or Demolishers after you select the upgrade – or can you take a squadron of LRBT and a separate upgrade of Demolishers?

I used a number of infantry companies with two tank squadrons (one each of LRBT and Demolishers) over the weekend, and the mixed companies were really fun to use.

Ah, it is once per company. So each company can have a Hydra up-grade but only one per company.

This also applies to the tank squadrons. You can only up-grade once so no formations with 3 Demolishers and 3 Leman Russ.

Well ten years ago we thought that you might just have too much fun playing with multiple up-grades.

More realistically it was a way to make the testing and balancing of the lists easier. And we were looking at that stage of having lots and lots of lists so more options to customise were going to be available.

Heh; fair do's. I suppose the mixed formations do take away part of the attraction of a tank company. Shame though; the mixed armour and infantry looked great on the table.

Well you can up-grade your tank company with infantry and your infantry company with tanks, just not too many.

The EUK Ulani list gives you the closest mix with tank riders added to your main formations, but they are quite hard to use.
