Well at this time no list has them. We do know that the Cadians were happy to use them in IA11. Admittedly they were pulled from the local Imperial stockpiles instead of being equipped. As it says thousands of them were used there it implies they are not exactly uncommon.

So my reply is, why not? Sure they do! :D

More importantly is what models are you going to proxy with them (or were you like me, in the right place at the right time for these?)

Thanks ! I have a bunch of Chimeras GW, FW, other and I have some other models I'm using for Crasssus ... According to FW : This immense armoured carrier is named after one of Lord Solar Macharius’ greatest generals, Borgen Crassus, who remained steadfastly loyal to the Imperium throughout the grim and bloody Macharian Heresy that followed the Lord Solar’s death.

The vehicle can be retrofitted with additional weapons to fulfill other battlefield roles as required, and thousands of these vast transports were drafted into the 6th Cadian Armoured’s ranks during the fighting on Betalis III.

So I guess, Cadians use'm ! :spin

Did anyone do any stats for these so that they can be used in friendly matches?

I was thinking something along the lines of:

Crassus WE 25cm A: 4+ CC: 6+ FF: 5+ 4x Heavy Bolter 30cm AP5+ DC2, RA, Transport 7, Critical = destroyed

Costing about 75pts each or 3 for 200pts?

They're supposed to be quite fast, in 40k terms they're faster than a Leman Russ, hence speed 25cm.

Somewhere there's a thread with stats for her worked out (don't have time to dig that one out) but I copied it into the Experimental Formations document for archival purposes

DOWNLOAD

Crassus Armoured Assault Transport
WE 30cm 4+ 6+ 4+
2x Heavy Bolter 30cm AP5+, Fixed Forward Arc
Heavy Bolter 30cm AP5+, Left Firing Arc
Heavy Bolter 30cm AP5+, Right Firing Arc

DC 2. Critical Hit Effect: One of the Crassus' tracks is blown off. The Crassus is now immobilized and can't move anymore.

Notes:
Reinforced Armour, Transport (7 Infantry units. Ogryns take up two transport spaces each).

Thanks JZ and L4 for both those links. Stats look good but it would seem this one of the few (only?) DC2 war engines that's not killed outright by a critical. 30cm is fast, imagine a bulked out IG coy in 3-4 of these.
