Hello everyone, thanks to the ERC for taking me on as space marines AC, I'd like to thank Jimmy for being supportive of development during his tenure, and I'd hope we can keep the momentum going with everything he's done!
Firstly I've taken a look at the
big list of Marine lists and I'd like to get a roll call of sorts from the various subAC's to see how things are going, and whether they wish to continue with development or pass it on to someone else. I will be sending out PMs to hopefully nudge people along
As I see it, we've made good progress in recent years getting the Imperial Fists and Space Wolves approved, it would be nice to add some more first founding chapters to the approved section, as well as any others that are popular and justified (Black Templars for example)
I think we're almost there with the Raven Guard (I'll get my 6th test game played soon) so that will be an easy win to start my term off
I'd like to see both the Blood Angels and Dark Angels get to NetEA approved status, however currently they need quite a bit of work, my plan is unless we have someone desperate to do it, to take on the Blood Angels development myself, re-structure things to bring the power level back in line with other marine lists, then try and grind them towards Approval by the end of next year. I shall also be poking Mard and the EpicAU fellas to push the Dark Angels list forward and open it up to the wider NetEA community, so we can get that to a position where we can get it in the tournament pack where it clearly belongs
Iron Hands, Black Templars and Minotaurs also need some love, I'll be
nagging motivating Glyn and Apoc to work on getting them tested more soon
Thanks for reading, remember, NetEA is *Open Development* it's specifically intended for you to have your say, it's so much more productive to get involved early, have an influence on the direction of a list and assist in testing and balancing than sitting on the sidelines and waiting for others to push it forward, then whinging when it doesn't meet your expectations! there are no requirements for playtesters other than a willingness to play games and write about them honestly, we don't need everyone to be a tournament winning super gamer, we just need people who want to help!
