GW scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit. I confidently predict the 'new-marines' and their grav tanks will be a bit better than the old marines in game to encourage people to buy lots of them.

So clearly the all important question is - should we add it to epic SM lists? I'm normally quite pro new additions but think this looks a bit comical and half-arsed.

I was actually quite interested in writing an EA fan list for all the new primaris stuff (and planned to use it to explain using the bigger Vanguard elite tanks). Unfortunately this has tanked for me (sorry, couldn't resist.)

Not sure whats happened at GW. Their digitally sculpted infantry seem to be getting better and better (especially the gathering storm characters) but the vehicles (which you would think would be easier in CAD) just aren't doing it for me. The custodes stuff and sisters "slug" in particular were very poor imho.

With this they seem to have tried to ram home the idea that it is a land raider retrofit - but in the end it just looks like a cheep kit bash. Looks slightly better from the back.

Well ... they want to sell more models ... and it seems the "new" 40K is geared to a "new" audience ... But I don't play 40K ... so ... ^-^

Yes - you can probably do a better job! :-)

(Perhaps wait a few months to see how all the new stuff beds in).

Oh jeez... Can't say I am a fan of any of the new aesthetics.

Oh dear.

As a big fan of the background it is really sad to see where the 40k lore has gone in the last few years, one might have thought they might have learned something from their exterminatus of Warhammer Fantasy and what this sort of thing does to their fanbase. It might be attractive to some in the community (which is fine) but I just cringe every time GW has yet another idea that is even beyond parody level such as "Yes lets have Space Marine Space Marines":.

A friend of mine told me a few years back was the best thing to happen to Epic was GW abandoning it. We as a community have for the most part a game run by the gamers for the gamers which seems to be the polar opposite of where GW is these days.

What will GW think of next, Grav Baneblades possibly, or maybe even the dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at you. Who knows...
