http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/The_Horus_H ... _TANK.html

Quote:
One of the most advanced armoured units in the arsenal of the Great Crusade, the Sicaran Battle Tank was the exclusive province of the Space Marine Legions. The Sicaran utilises component technologies from various STC patterns to create a high-speed ‘destroyer’ tank to complement the more commonplace Predator and Land Raider designs.

The primary armament of the main Sicaran variant is the sophisticated Herakles pattern accelerator autocannon, a superior rapid-firing and highly accurate weapon. It fires shells at far higher velocities than a standard autocannon, enabling it to successfully track and engage swift moving targets and pinpoint vulnerabilities in enemy armour with lethal precision.

I'll wait and see on stats, but at the moment it looks suspiciously like a Predator with an extra HB shot (i.e. something that's better just proxied).

OK, Had our game last night and there was quite a lot of fumbling around from myself and my opponent as this was our first game of epic in a long time. To keep things simple we just used the companies and support slots with one or two upgrades. I far as I can see the list worked with the limited forces we used. We really enjoyed the game despite the many mistakes and hopefully we'll be playing more. I know it's not really much on feedback but i hope to take more notes as we continue to play.

Assuming you had fun, I can't see anything wrong with it. :)

Let me know if the Legion-specific units seem to work OK.

Also, if you find Storm Eagles confusing, let me know. I've been pondering simplifying them a bunch.

Just a related note that FW are advertising book two of the Horus Heresy for gamesday UK release. This book is part one of the massacre at Isstvan 5.

I'm gonna be drawing from the new book a bit, then I'm going to try and nail the list down for a while and work on the supplement a bit. I have all these nice Siege of Terra ideas, and I'm pretty sure I can outdo Forge World. They have to fit on a 40K board.

Siege of Terra, one of my dream battles to do, that battle has always been in my mind for a mega project ever since first reading about it decades ago. You would need a really big table to do this justice i think.

Likely. I'd need to paint the armies first, anyway. Plus, my local GW has some very big tables.

I really love your army list, as I am currently building a Death Guard and an Imperial Fists asmy of that era.

What I am concerned for is the Greater Demon:

By nature of its DC 3 it has three attacks in CC and FF. Its CC attacks are upgraded by "extra attacks (+1), MW", so it has a total of 4 attacks, of which one is a MW.
Its FF attacks have the attribute "small arms, MW", which means it has a total of 3 attacks, of which all 3 are MW.

Is it intention to have a Demon with CC 4+; FF 5+ but better FF attacks or is that just some typo?

Thank you for your work,
M

Not a fan :( prefer the old 2nd/3rd ed 40k kit. I am, however, becoming increasingly tempted by heresy things :o

Are there any good resources for the organisation of fighting units at epic scale during HH? (one level up from the size of epic formations, how should i group formations to match fluff?)

Will the legions get basilisks and medusas? They are in the FW lists i think.
