BL: most of that stuff looks neat, but not the sort of stuff that's worth getting unique game effects. Except maybe the Sicaran stuff. We'll see what the fluff's like on that.

Honestly, most of Forge World's unique units so far have been rather uninspiring (IMO). You're assuming that the Immortals will make it in. I try to do something more interesting with the Legion unique units than "close combat monsters" (with varying degrees of success, admittedly). Forge World does not always seem to share that aim. :P

Rumoured stats for ther Sicaran Battle Tank's Accelerator Autocannon:

48" S:7 AP4, Heavy 6, Rending, no jink saves allowed.

Would translate to:
45cm 2 x AP3+/AT5+

One day, someone will explain to GW that the autocannon is a shit anti-tank weapon. :P

EDIT: Also, rending should bump it up to at least AT4. Possibly more. I'll need to check how Rending works these days.

Hi how is this list going since last year because I like what you have done with it Simulated Knave, I have recently been reading through the posts and some of it I agree with some not so much. What I would really like to know is if it could be balanced enough to play other lists not just heresy vs heresy armies. The organization side is good making core infantry formations the basis of the legions with some fancy elites and solid support (Warhounds would be nice). I think the costing of a few of the formations are far to cheap mainly because of the defenders of humanity rule makes them over powered.
My thoughts on a Death Guard list for 3k with 12 activation's, having a solid BTS with numbers and dreadnought MW in assault, high maneuverability with tactical, veteran and scout formations. Tactical's numbers provide fire and assault units veterans provide a wide AA cover (scout rule) with support from though scouts and fire power from rapier formations. The fellblades give a decent amount of slow moving fire power and the destroyers can be mounted in air-assault or as ground support and as a fearless assault formation. The storm eagles can either be AA cover or as assault with good fire power and RA.

Any chance the Spartan can be added to the list?

Spartan AV 25cm +3 +6 +4 x2 LasCannon 45cm AT5
FF Heavy Bolter 30cm AP4
RF Heavy Bolter 30cm AP4
Reinforced Armor, Thick Rear Armor, Transport 4 Sm or 2 Termie stands

+3 save due to the spartan's specialty hull being a bitch to stop.

FW show a quad LC and a front HB. The rules I have list single LCs and FF and FR HBs. Which is right, did they up date it?


How about a Glaive too? There are sculpts knock about.

Not sure but I think this project was abandoned (also it's been a while since SK was actively posting). You might want to check out the Death of Isstvan supplement from FattDex. It's under pretty hard core testing right now

Mate,

A big +1 for Dex's list we are playing it weekly and providing a lot of feedback to him. The list is best played at 4k points to get a real feel for the magnitude of the game. We get through them in the same time we would a normal game.

I concur. If SK make an appearance we can always reopen.

Also we should probably link from the Marine list sticky over the DoI supplement as well. Not sure if it's under the aegis of NetEA but it's at worst a self contained Fan-List and is Marine-centric.
