The lack of access to AA is something of an intentional weakness in the list, though. I don't want to increase access to Vets TOO much.

I'll keep pondering.

Black Legion

The Scorpius could be interesting. I suppose one could do a Whirlwind with AP4+/AT6+ Indirect, or something like that. But what does it add that a Predator (or Thudd Gun) doesn't already do better?

The Javelin seems to basically be a Land Speeder.

Is this list intended to be only used against itself or other enemies?
Also Four Mechanicum Thallaxi, is that 4 units(stands) or individual models? What current mini would you use?

Apologies if these have been answered but just saw this.

The intent is that it be more or less balanced against everything else. The actual effectiveness of that would require that some of the 200-odd downloads produce some battle reports.

Four is four units. As to minis...not really sure. I'd figured people would probably use whatever they use for Tau stealth suits, since those are also chicken-walkers. DRM Andrayada Infantry Phalanxes'd work - they may or may not have the right knees, but the silhouette looks close.

I absolutely love the flexibility of the list, looking forward to testing it in a couple of weeks!
One question, however: why did you not include the Spartan assault tank?

On the Spartan: primarily because it ends up in the ugly "not really a War Engine, not really a tank" grey area even worse than the Land Raider does. If it were a War Engine, it'd be DC1, and that doesn't work that well (and since all its siblings are War Engines, it probably should be too). If it were a tank, it'd basically just be two Land Raiders working as one model. And Land Raiders are a lot easier to come by.

It also seemed like it would be a pain to model, and took a little collateral damage from me picking the Sabre over the Cerberus.

With this amount of Hull Points the Spartan is likely a DC1 WE. It is also big enough to fulfill this status.
