You're missing a lot of MW markers on the characters and terminators, unless you intend to give them non-macroweapon extra attacks in your list!

First off I think you should change the LC to allow it to cary what the model can carry to cover formations with rhinos and land raiders.

Thunderhawk, SB

Well survivability is of course massive. You have only got a 1/24 chance of killing it with a hit and require on average 16 hits without criticals to get it. Plus it has heavy all round defence.

Comparing it to the eldar.
2+ Init
3 for 400 - also fighters
5+RA, 3 Bombers - 7 hits roughly, degrade as killed. Save goes up when jink from 4/9 chance of kill to 1/3 chance of kill (need .
45cm 3 AT
30cm 1 1/2 AP AA5+
15cm 3BP, Disrupt

1+ Init
Bomber
4+RA 2DC - 16 hits, hit has 1/24 chance of crit kill
75cm 1/2 AP/AT
30cm 1 AP AA
15cm 1 AP AA
15cm 2BP (5+/6+)

Comparing to current marauder. 250 points for a 6bp barrage and 1 AT hit but only need 4 hits to wipe out. More firepower but far less survivability.

Also consider list - its hard with this list to take care of air defences so you need a tougher bomber. This toughness though means the 15cm weapons are better. You could argue this toughness is one of the things that scews the current marine lists to air assault ones, but thats another thread. If you give it IC it in effect becomes AP4+/AT6+ in comparison to the other bombers as infantry oft hide in cover, but doesn't do much more against armour (they can't get cover saves for instance, well unless you are playing siegers).

I'd prob go to 250 IC as it might be worth more than 225 currently, at such point levels its hard to tell 25 points more or less really. A question in my mind would be what would be the effect of taking 4 of them? Or 3 and a warhound for flak suppression?


Hunter
I think you should consider making an AA formation. They would be reasonable in a Tank list. 4 Hunters for 275? 300?

Tacticals
I do like this formation. I would have two possible configs, (AT) Tacs, AT Razorback and Anihilators or more common probably (AP) Tacs, Destructors

Razorbacks
The balance has changed here a bit. I can for 100 points get four to replace my rhinos - but is that as good/better/worse than the 125 points for preds/vindies? Currently it is 1 rhino, 3 Razors
(75pts) vs 1 pred/vindy (75pts) etc.

Upgrades
Like the way you encourage larger formations of armour :)
Would you consider a Tactical upgrade (2 tacs, 1 Rhino) for formations?
Razorbacks - having 1 or 2 doesn't make sense when you write in the list '2 rhinos'. Change to replace with 2 Razorbacks for 50 points?

Special Rules
Isn't the transport rule irrelevant for you?

If aircraft jinks, rules say that it replaces saves it has. so 5+ra is a lot better than 4+ save and eldar aircratfs do not have a need to jink at all. I could be wrong but this is how I have always played.

I agree with that TH:s do not need boosting. I have played against those few times and they are already nasty enough.

Razorback drawback: If you shoot them, unit they are attached to will be slowed down significantly. This makes them a risky choice over an Annihilator. Else the Razors are the tanks which keep the Marine ground pounder list playable. Change them and you can really forget playing the list.

Just my opinion, but proven many times in games. :;):

Ah, you haven't written plus rhinos/transport, you have written 2 rhinos in the tac formation.

They can jink as they are Fighter-bommers. Pure bombers can't. So theres a mark for Eldar :).

Note that the T'hawk SBs cost went up so, it's paying for the ability. But I'm worried about the Scions ability to take on infantry in cover. Vindicators and Assault are so far only things for it. Now this allows SB to used for that niche as well.


Yes, I know they can, but their save becomes worse when jinking, because jinking replaces current armour save. Taking infantry from cover is a 'problem' for many lists, except for chaos. :)  Yep, 25pts points rise is good for TH SB+IC.

Quick question, I only really need to print out pages 13, 14  (scions units) and page 21 (the list) to play a game using this right? Are there any other rule changes I need to know about located elsewhere?
