I don't know if this is too obscure, or if it was (more likely) considered and dismissed as a bad idea.
The now-defunct Warhammer Monthly comic had a Kal Jerico story in which his Inquisitor mother infiltrated a space hulk to destroy a necron chamber. ?It contained the 'Setekh'. Basically, an enormous (roughly knight sized) necron lord with an equally enormous staff of light, egyptian-style headress, and 'gauss eyes'. ?It was described as one of the C'tan's greatest servants. ?I can provide scans if anyone wants a closer look.
Now, the epic necron list probably doesn't need something like this, but I thought I'd bring it up to see what kind of response it gets. ?At the least, it'd be very easy to model, and might be a possible proxy for the Nightbringer.

Definitely post a scan, I'm interested in seeing what it looked like.

I do think that the Necrons could use more flavorful epic-only models, but I'm not sure a knight-sized Necron lord would look all that great. It would make the necrons match with the tomb kings from WFB/WM - sort of a robotic bone giant.
I've been hoping for an epic version of the liquid-metal giant worm-thing that the iron hands primarch fought. I imagine it would be like one of those dragons in chinese new-years parades, but with styling to match tomb spiders.

Necron Titan, and it's easy to proxy by just using a 40k Necron!
C'mon, it *has* to be done this way.

I like Semaj's dragon-esque idea, though I think something more akin to Wraith styling would be better than Tomb Spyder style.

I like the idea, mostly because I think it's cool, but unfortunately it won't fly.
Jervis was very firm in this point: No walker WE for the Necron.

well, you never know.
If they really go with more titan battles, then it's possible they could, in fact, come forth as "knights"

Sorry to oppose the majority, but I don't really like the idea of the Setekh... It basically seems to be something like "oh, a lord is cool, let's make it better by making it bigger". Nah. We have enough cool ideas for Necron WEs imho and the Setekh doesn't really seem to fit to the list. :-/
