Hey, guys!
Got my start in Epic with space marines, then collected a chaos army, and I'm now considering getting a force of necrons.
Are there experienced players here who can give me tips on how necrons differ in force makeup and playing style from other armies?

Necrons have a unique playstyle. When I get my Necrons to roll, the infantry sits in reserves almost the entire game, assaulting out of portals and consolidating back. The rest of the army will be teleporting in and out of the field, frustrating your opponent with Living Metal. It lives on clipping assaults (engage only parts of the enemy formation and break it with a formation of Warriors supported by the Monoliths that brought them there), but has rather weak shooting.
You're going to spend some time deciding where and when to teleport to set up these assaults while keeping your Monoliths alive - they're very tough but there will be few targets on the board, and every Monolith you lose hurts.
They're tricky to get the hang of, but also requires experience to beat - fighting Necrons for the first few times against a Necron player who knows what he's doing can be very frustrating.
