Hello all! I'm Bryan Merlonghi, a complete 6mm FREAK! I'm a professional painter and teacher, featured on Geek & Sundry's Painters Guild show, as well as having won a previous Epicomp for the Open category! I'm here to share my love and to teach :D :D :D

Here is the space I will share all my painting exploits. Right now my work is as follows:

1.) Epic Nurgle Army
2.) Epic Death Korps of Krieg Army

The link here is a tutorial for how to create dynamic bases for your units. Stay tuned for the next article on how to paint them!

Here's a few shots of an upcoming tutorial. This is a WIP, but it's a command unit for my DKoK army ;D ;D ;D

Very nicely painted! Great work with the hazard stripes and rusted base detail :)

I'd suggest trying to disguise where the circles meet the base better though as they stand out a lot at the moment. You could drill holes to put them in with a 6mm wide drill bit then disguise with a bit of filler as needed to make them flat. Or cut most or all of the circle off before attaching then the the base as Elsmore describes here (his thread is inspirational and well worth a look generally anyway if you're not familiar with it).

GlynG, I think he said he's going to add some mud in a later tutorial.

Ah! GlynG! This is just to show placement! These aren't finished. The ground isn't finished, and actually neither is the structure itself! I'm sorry, should have prefaced that...

Mud will be added soon!!! Thanks for the kind words and good advice!

Ah fair enough, I'd looked at the photo but not your actual blog before.

Do checkout Elsmore's models above too, his are the best based epic models I know of with the individual bases well detailed and the units themed as area dioramas.

Use two part epoxy glue instead should you not want the white superglue blooming (not that it really matters before painting).

Good call! And what is Elsmore's alias on here? I LOVE inspiration. Your work is pretty incredible too.

Also I PM'ed you... not sure if you saw it or not.

Here's some more work...

Still WIP, but I got the standard bearer done! Final placement is still pending... a few more figs to go and a painting on the wall!
