I'll admit I am exaggerating a little ;D

And I probably wouldn't be too useful as a sample as I have two left hands, and a carpet that instantly dissolves any small miniature bits the moment they fall from my hand.. (others experience may vary!)

They are pretty small but I think scale pretty well with the general Sknner guys.

My next update - a Stompa and Tinbot. The start of a Stompa mob for my Goff clan contingent.

It's quite a strange experience painting over something I started painting about 25 years ago, but didn't ever finish at the time.. (I probably got distracted by a Sega Megadrive game or something)

A small update - just got some Gunwagonz painted up for my Goff Orks.

Got a nice pile of these old plastic vehicles off the 'Bay, fortunately a very thin layer of paint so easy to paint over.
I did remove the arms from the front of the one wagon as they looked ridiculous (funny how something like that can break the suspension of disbelief, even when you are quite happily painting green-blooded aliens that sound like London dock workers! :) )

Thanks guys! Im still really enjoying re-discovering these old minis and also some of the amazing stuff that has come along in the interim.

Really nice as well that if you only have say 20 minutes to paint in an evening, you can get a couple of infantry squads finished, or a tank, and not just a single leather bag or shoe or something, which would be the case with 28mm!

Another quick update for this thread.

Some Rapier laser destroyers. Very kind of Kyussinchains to supply the three I needed to build up this unit!

These are for my Great Crusade-era World Eaters. I really like the idea that once they were a fully functioning army and had different tools for different jobs. So if you were fighting squadrons of of heavy armour with big guns, these would probably be more effective than charging them with chain axes :)

And found a couple of these other die-cast toys that I might use as Fire Raptor gunships. I read in a Horus Heresy book that the Stormbird was a really nice, stylish looking bit of kit, designed in a time where the aesthetic was still important. Then later designers came along and made the Thunderhawk gunship, which was designed by the same guy who made the Lada.
Maybe the Fire Raptor was designed in the same way? What do people think?

Has any other rekindled gamer got some stuff on the go? :)

Thanks man!

I have finished off a Goff Stompa mob. I've tried to make a bit of variety with them so it fits the background of different Stompa owners coming together (in the same way as you get VW Camper club owners meeting)

A bit of a mix this time: Another Lungbursta/Gunwagon, some old Tin Botz (which will go in my Stompa Mob as Killa Kanz), and a sample attempt at some Bad Moon Orks. These are the Vanguard miniatures which I green-stuffed little hats onto (with limited success) - as we know Bad Moons have got a lot of money and so can afford hats! :)

Is anyone else working on stuff and like to post? :)
