I'm starting something new for 2024 and our groups first quarter painting challenge: Steel Rift. I'm not sold on the rules but the figures are great and completely customizable. I magnetized all the arms and the weapon ports in the Freelance starter this week, now to slog through another 90 of the weapons.

I'm not sure on a color scheme yet. At think point I'm thinking mostly black, with a redish-pink head and left arm/shoulder.

I've been plodding through the black on the Steel Rift stuff and I also finished the cockpits as I try to stumble into a color scheme. I hope to finish the maroon next week.

I've had these Bretonnian Squires sitting on my desk since last January and I randomly picked one up this week to try out a color scheme.

I also finished painting another unit of Union infantry. I think my Civil War stuff will be my next big push as I want to run a small game at a local convention in April.

Lovely stuff - I get tempted by those mechs, too.

Thanks guys.

I've been slogging through a dozen units of 6mm Confederate infantry in preperation for a game I'll be running at a local convention the first weekend in April. I've made good progress these last few weeks, getting the base colors and wash down, plus a few highlights.

I need to finish highlighting the grey and brown uniforms, the hats, bedrolls and wood. After that, I'll do accessory cleanup, flesh and metals.

I finally done painting the Confederate infantry. We're not going to think about the skirmisher stands I want to do for them right now. I'll be top coating and basing them tomorrow in preparation for a demo game this Saturday. After that, I'm hoping to knock out the artillery, characters and a unit of cavalry before the first weekend of April.
