Hello.

Im looking to make some custom vehicles based on ww2 chassis for my guard units but sadly the GHQ minis and other 6mm ww2 ranges are far to small to be used in conjunction with 40k minis.

Im looking into alternatives. A possible alternative is 10mm miniature vehicles, I was looking at pendraken but I cannot find good comparison shots between their vehicles and armageddon stuff. If anyone can help me to find or can provide some pics for 10mm vehicle miniature sizes, by comparison or next to a ruler say I would much appreciate it.

Or if you know of any manufacturer of minis of ww2 of modern vehicles that fit the armageddon scale please let me know about and if you wouldnt mind shareing pics if you have them.

Or if anyone knows of any shapeways shops that sell good ww2 scaled models.

thank you :)

GHQ is generally too small. These on Shapeways https://www.shapeways.com/shops/mom?sec ... e-products are in scale with GHQ or CinC. But look at the heavier vehicles like the E-100, Maus, etc. from Masters of Military and GHQs Wehrmacht '47 line ... http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/military ... rmour.html ... Which includes Allied vehicles as well like the T-28, etc.

This Company CGD http://www.combatgroupdynamix.com/eShop/eShopNew.html makes 1/144 or @ 10mm. But I found them especially the Heavier AFVs like Pz. Mk. VII, Maus, too large. But have a look ... they may work for you. However, I found most 10mm too large.

What type vehicles are you looking for, MBTS, SPFA, APCs, etc. ?

Yea ive ruled out GHQ completely.

Do you have any comparison shots with these GZD miniatures?

Well im looking for a bunch of stuff but id say tertiary vehicles mostly, Like trucks, logistics, repair, apc, that kind of thing. But if i could find a range where a tiger is roughly as big as a lemon russ id be probably happy with there other stuff.

No I don't have any comp pics of CDG minis. I bought a Pz VII, E-100 and Maus from them. And there we over an inch or more bigger than GW's Super Heavies, like the Baneblade, etc. ... I ended up selling the CDG on eBay. They were just too big. I think you may find that with many 10mm pieces.

Save for some Light vehicles and those may be dependent on the type. I.e. a 10mm French R- 35 may be the size you are looking for ? Or some of the lighter Armored Cars, etc.

I planned on getting some of the GHQ and some of the Mstr of Mil on Shapeways of the Maus, E-100, Pz VII, other AFVs on the E-100 chassis. Those I think may work for L/Russes and Russ size AFVs.

As far as rolling stock like trucks, you may have to go with 10mm light vehicles to again. Be more in size with 6mm.

Here's kind of my rule of thumb if you will. 1/285 scale Heavy vehicles = 6mm Medium or smaller even ... depending on the type ...

The 10mm Light to some Medium vehicles could/may work depending again on type ...

You may have to do what I did ... buy some see how they fit with your Epic scale models. Those that don't work sell them on eBay, here or elsewhere ...
