Wow really nice job - love the idea of using the variable heights with the different individual units! |

Thanks Pacific! When I first started building Epic models I wanted all the skimmers hugging the ground to make cover/LOS determination clear/easy when they weren't popped up, but I've since decided that rule of cool is a much better guiding principal for this game. And just a tiny update this time, a little painting progress. (the picture preview is being finicky, so no preview pic this time, sorry) http://noisyassassin.blogspot.com/2017/ ... s-wip.html Cheers! |

More progress! A finished Warhound, which I'm immensely happy with. Lots more pictures here, feedback welcome of course! http://noisyassassin.blogspot.com/2017/ ... nd_17.html Now I just need to finish the other one and the T-hawks. Creeping ever closer to 3K. Cheers! |

Thanks primarch! This time I've finished a Thunderhawk and the second Warhound. Really on the home stretch now. Linkity-link: http://noisyassassin.blogspot.com/2017/ ... titan.html |

Wow, some amazing work! As you say that is very grimdark - usually I dislike lots of skulls everywhere, but think you've done a really good job of keeping it in line with the aesthetic of the models. And you do immediately look at it, and know its Dark Angels. Great job! |

Thanks Pacific! I've usually got mixed feelings on the 40K motto of "if in doubt, needs moar skulls," but for the DA it just feels right somehow. And it's been fun adding all the iconography. For now, I've passed a milestone. Just finished rounding out the DA list that I want to take to Adepticon in the spring, so here are some full army shots (and the last T-hawk). http://noisyassassin.blogspot.com/2017/ ... -done.html Cheers! |
