Thanks everyone!

@AbrahamCaribdis: yeah, I was definitely channeling a bit of Fury Road when I built the oil tanker in particular.

I'll have some pics of the full Ork Knight army on their display board soon (btw, they performed admirably in their first outing at Adepticon), but for now, how about something a little different?

First test model for my Eldar (theme should be pretty obvious):

(****ing poncy pointy-eared space jester took me just over 6 hours to finish. Future models should go a bit faster, but current me is definitely annoyed at past me's ambition in choosing this particular theme.)

Cheers!

@epic: I'm planning to build the Eldar to Minigeddon levels, then take a break to work on more Dark Angels. List will probably be 5 Falcons, 1 Scorpion, 4 Rangers, and 8 Shining Spears to start with. Whoooole lot more will be waiting for me though.

@malika2: thanks!

I did checkers on a .25x.25" area for my knights but that? Have fun!

They look nice and uniform, did you sketch out the pattern with black paint or a paint pen?

Amazing, but scary to consider applying it to a whole playable army.

Lovely conversion work as well.

Nice job Noisy. I avoid these kind of schemes just because of the tedium but you've done it well. :)

The paint-job is astounding, but it does rather break up the shape of the model. It's hard to make out any of the detail without looking quite carefully; at a glance it's just a shock of colours and patterns. That might be less pronounced in reality than in the photo, though.
