Thanks for posting Dave!

We tried out smoke rules and they seemed to have good results. The smoke clouds are by Litko and are almost exactly the same length as the diameter of a small barrage template. I think I'll nerf ATGWs a bit. Also toyed with giving helos eldar movement, but keeping their formation size to 2.

Also very entertaining was Dave having to use my dice, with predictably erratic results. Much hilarity ensued. :P

So... I keep getting threatening emails from photobucket, but my pics are still up. Anyone in a similar position?

I suspect that all my linked photos will soon disappear and then the only ones visible will be Dave's...

could you elaborate on how the smoke rules were played?

Yep, they blocked all mine from third party linking already.

The smoke rounds were shot in lieu of barrage. Each unit had a similar "BP" shot of smoke (so 1-3 BP one template, 4-8 two, etc). At the start of the next round we shuffled smoke cards in to the activation deck equal to the amount of clouds. When one came up, we randomly determined which cloud dissipated. With 3-4 clouds on the table is wasn't too bad tracking which ones were up for removal and which ones were new this turn. With more it would probably be handy to mark one or the other.

The clouds blocked LoS.

Hmm that's a neat little rule that can bring a lot to the table it seems. Nice work you two.
