Yeah, I'm aware this was done before and I believe the parts are still on Shapeways, but it'd be something like £300 for the entire kit that way. Ouch.

With any luck the bits order will arrive in the next day or two so I can finish the torso and remaining lower leg armour. Till then, I'll likely work on some flyers and maybe another pair of chaos marine stands.

Adding ground troops to the base looks great, doing that with mine at the moment and also adding them to the canopy battlements

So your work on the imperator has inspired me to start my own. Fortunately I already had one of those fort models gathering dust on a shelf which was handy. My main problem is that I bought the original Knight kit for this project when it first came out so I don't have the assault cannon weapon for the model. Really I need another kit to get that gun as I see no other option besides scratch building one which i'd rather not do.

Love the white cloaks on the skitarii.

Thanks everyone, glad the white cloaks are well received. I figured they needed something aside from just the visors to make them pop more on the base.

I'm looking forward to seeing your Emperor titan moredakka - maybe since you don't have the gatling gun you could make a Warmonger? I know once I have enough funds I'll be aiming for one of those too so it'd be great seeing more takes on it.

The bits I need still haven't arrived unfortunately, so as mentioned here's more work on the flyers, finishing up 3 Hellblades.



I also repurposed the Reaver titan base for the Thunderhawk, since it was a bit too big for the Reaver. I ordered some slightly smaller bases which fit much better, so once I assemble more Reavers I'll work on those. Still got a load of flyers and Knights to assemble, so should probably make some kind of start on them.

Real nice work on the aircraft.

Thanks for the interest in my imperator project I will start posting soon on this model. I want to do a normal imperator for my traitor forces and have considered doing a warmonger for the loyalist side, so I can get the latest plastic kit when money allows for the warmonger and steal the gatling gun for the one i'm building now.

Seems like a plan to me.

One thing I do want to do is try and capture the look of the original imperator kit, so a walking castle will be the order of the day.

Thanks, the flyers were pretty relaxing to paint - detailed, but not completely tiny.

Fair plan moredakka, as a Chaos fan I'm especially looking forward to seeing what you do for a traitor Imperator! It'll be great to see a veritable walking castle with all the archaic towers.

Since I didn't have that much hobby time today I ended up just quickly painting 2 more simple flyers and assembling a bunch of stuff, so 2 Doomwings join the force as more Hellblades unless I use the Tzeentch list. Waiting on a third to arrive.

It's weird to see that bare metal. I think I could do a better job these days.

The imperator will still look imperial as at the time of the Isstvan campaign the traitors for the most part anyway did not take on the corrupted appearance of later forces that took place once the heresy was in full swing. So my model will just have the regular Death's Head titan legion colour scheme to match my DH titan legion forces.

Makes sense on the Imperial appearance then, I didn't realise you'd be doing it for the Heresy era.

It's been a while since the last update thanks to a lack of hobby time, but I have this weekend thankfully off for the first time in a while, so I managed to get a bit of painting done!

A complement of Contemptors, a normal Dreadnought and the first few stands of Bikes are now all painted -



Also managed to get 4 more stands of infantry started, to finish up the first unit, as well as a stand of Terminators and tanks to get a feel for some of the new figures. Gotta day, really like the Deimos designs!



Before the weekend is up I intend to finish the above, as well as hopefully finish the bottom half of the Imperator titan and at the least get the top primed and finish up the metal to the same standard the legs are currently at.
