Wow, I got to say I was pretty overwhelmed by your response to the daemon prince and the church! I thought the crab walkers might rise a few eyebrows but I wouldn’t have called that one. They both have been in the works for about a year now, in other words they have gathered dust in various stages of incompletion while I was busy with other things. I really should finish them both up now. The daemon prince used to have a much better face. I got it just right and then I just had to do some final touch ups and managed to completely botch it up. So bad that I had to start from the beginning again, you know how it is. It didn’t come out as good as the last one, but it’ll do. It’s going to be my Iron Warriors army lord with Obliterator bodyguards that I should also finish.

I tested the church recently in a battle with my Sisters of Battle against Iron Warriors. On the second turn I got bum rushed by two lords of battles (one with an extra close combat arm instead of a gatling gun, joy!) and had to dump all six of my flagellants and repentias in a desperate counter charge to keep it alive. First it got immobilized and then destroyed anyway. I did get the Lords of Battles in the end but they pretty much ripped through my infantry. I’m using my own rules for flagellants and repentia, where neither has any armour and flagellants have two 5+ attacks instead of one 3+ in close combat and the repentia have first strike. I find it much more realistic than the 5+ armour save they normally have, same as storm troopers which are basically in a bomb disposal gear instead of a bikini or a loincloth. It makes them a bit challenging to play as they essentially have either to be in cover or transported in rhino variants everywhere. I didn’t get much use from them after they got their asses handed to them. The two Robo Dragons did work for their money, dropping four Thunderbolts and three of my four Marauders for one of them.

And some more. If you look closely you can see a hexagonal groove in the arty’s dozers, so that the flamer doesn’t sprout napalm all over itself.

For those who wondered what my separate post about Warhound scale was about. Here are a few picts of what came of my efforts. I always loved the boxy version of Warhound, but I found it to be too big in comparison to Reaver and Warlord. So I made it smaller. Only 4mm though, some might say it’s not worth the effort, but it’s around 10% in height and in volume it seems even more significant. I know there are some true scale diehards out there, but I personally like it better this way.

Some Tyranid terrain/objectives I got done.

-Sir! We have a bug problem!
-What kind of a bug problem corporal?
-A big one sir!

Some more pics from a fight I recently lost. I ended up oneshotting the smaller biotitan with a Deathstrike missile (good deal, should have brought two). Nearly killed the big one too, but the ba$tard went and regenerated on me.
