Brilliant! I'd be afraid to touch it for fear of burning myself!

It's called lighter fluid :D

So I've done a little Farseer conversion, which has been on my to do list since about 1998.

With questionable freehand symbols:

And with his big buddy:

So that's it for now. I'll try and get another update done soon.

Nice use of Exarch wing.
The walking lava guy is also nicely painted. I like it.

That avatar is stunning! Great army all round.

Very nice! Clean and sharp. Pops. The only thing I could think of is the base. Maybe some tiny greenish shrubbery to break up the brown? But that is really just trying to find something... And I think the freehand looks ace.

I base all of my epic armies the same, to go with my table and let my ally them freely while maintaining some visual continuity. So if I do one, I will have to do hundreds.

But you're right, dammit! :-\
Better buy some more flock :D

So after a nice holiday I'm getting back to work on this army. One of the things that I'm trying to do is come up with some reasonable Shining Spear conversions.

This is what I'm mulling over at the moment, but I'm not really sold on the bread clip wings. I'll probably paint up a test stand to see if it's worth the (considerable amount of) extra effort.

I'll be doing up two formations of eight stands, so it will take me a while to round up that many bread clips!

Other opinions are very welcome :)

So after cleaning up after a work barbecue I discovered I had plenty of bread clips in my pocket. O0

So the (slightly modified in design) shining spear bread clip formation is complete!

And in an alcohol fuelled painting frenzy I also finished off my swooping Hawks...

...and Vypers!
