Got the lighter blue coat onto the cruiser. I'll probably come back and add some smaller details at a future date, but this will do the trick for NEAT.


Stormwind- Good eyes! I recently decided to take the dive into Warmaster and have an Empire and Dwarf army that needs painting. I was starting it when I had to give more attention to the Wolves to try and get them done for NEAT. Going for orange and blue for my first unit of halberdiers.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with the final result. The lighter blue looks better with the brass details. I though about going with an "all steel" approach to those lines, but in the end I wanted to reserve the silver and grey for the weapons to help them stand out.

Stormwind - I've been lurking on the Specialist page for a bit, but pulled the trigger and made a profile. Hopefully I'll be up and approved soon.

Well, not the whole army, but I'm aiming for my NEAT list to be fully painted. It's a little ambitious averaging two formations a week, but I'll give it a shot! The 2 thunderhawks are probably the biggest obstacle.

Drop pods coming in hot. I plan to bring the blue back up like on the cruiser. I'd like to add soot marks to the bottom and near the exhaust if anyone has suggestions!

Hmm. Well, here's one drop pod with the blue brought up. I'm not 100% happy with how it looks, but I can't quite put my finger in it. Suggestions welcome.

Additionally, if anyone has any tips on how to add soot around the exhaust and leading edges, that'd be much appreciated! Thanks!

Alternatively, I was considering just doing a light blue dry brush, then going and picking out the details in color. Thoughts?

Haha you better believe it! Had my head spinning by the end.

And thanks Primarch! I appreciate the vote of confidence. I think I'm going to hit the seams with a dark wash to try and generate higher contrast and better definition. Results to follow!
