So I've been slowly trawling these boards over time and I've found that some people used to get decals from Bad Idea Games, who are now closed.

Just wondering are there any places you guys recommend for getting decals made for your armies? Basically want a crap load of fleur de lys and imperial eagles etc for my various tanks and transports

It is quite easy to make your own customized decals. I bought some sheets of decal paper(like this http://www.modellparadies.com/Decals-Au ... 0_405.html) and print everything I need with my inkjet printer. Then it has to be sealed, for example with this:

There are also some professional services that print out decals for you. You just have to make a file with what has to be printed.

As long as you don't need white, I suppose decal paper works great.

You can use white decal paper, but the design will have to be carefully cut around, so nothing to fiddly.

That is true. I just reckoned most things are fiddly at 6mm.

some shops also print white decals with thermotransfer printers or UV-digital prints. But it's quite expensive, about 22 € a A4 sheet. Here some examples:

You can even have other colors or gold and silver.
