Wow, that is a great sight all together! Congratulations. I wish i had your consistency. I tend to have painting fits, then stop for 6 months.

I guess you plan to now go and throw all your navy blue paint in the river! :-)

Hehe, it's tempting. I have to admit, the thought that I never have to paint another Rhino again makes me quite happy right now.

Hah! You're one of the few people who can say that with any credibility!

So, my original plan was to paint this model, then take a break for a bit. As it was, I got it primed and based and then ground to a halt. But this week I got my brushes out and got down to finishing it off. So here it is:

Now I just need to find a Warlord in the same style and scale and I'll be sorted.

Hello!

So ... it's been a while. Quite a long while in fact. I haven't had much time for Epic in the past few years. For some of that time, I wasn't doing much painting or gaming at all, then the last year or so I was painting quite a lot but for other systems in other scales (I now have way more Blood Bowl teams than I used to!). But at last I have returned to the One True Scale, so I thought I'd better pop back here and share what I've been doing.

A long time ago, I wrote:

Little did I know that it would be four years before I would finally get hold of such a beast. But last October I got myself a resin 3D printer and one of the first things I printed was the '6mm truescale' Warlord that I had been hankering after for years.

Then it took me another four months before I actually painted the thing. But here it is at last!

And here it is with its Forumware brothers. The family is complete at last!

Now that that's done, it's time to start on a new army. I had always intended to do an Imperial Guard force, with titans and aircraft shared with my Space Marines and AMTL. I even had most of the models I needed, using a combination of some old GW models, some forumware, and some proxies from Vanguard Miniatures and Trolls Under the Bridge. Since getting the printer I've been able to add some more to that, filling in the gaps and replacing some of the models I had with nicer ones.

I've made a start on painting the first formation, so hopefully I'll have some photos of those to share fairly soon. In the meantime I shall be looking at what everyone else has been up to while I was away.
