It's - I've ssen it before time - again.
This time Land Raider. For some reason I had to some "ordinary" Land Raiders.
I used the Epic version for guidance - please keep in mind the tanks in the images are bigger than in real life .
Image
The proportions are good.
Image
And the detail is ok.
Image
But when placed directly besides an original, you can see that the weapons and other details are a bit chunky.

So I decided o give it a makeover. As the opportunity arose I choose to switch to the 40k Land Raider version as well.
Image
The size is virtually the same.
Image
But I designed finer and more details.
Image
And increased the amount of pigment and switched to a higher resolution.
While the actual printtime is about the same, the time per Land Raider is 3 times as high, because at the lower resolution I can print 3 Land Raiders at once.

Hi!

The difference is very small. Once painted I don't think I could spot it.

Splendid!

@primarch
There seems to be a misunderstanding.
These are all 3D printed models, a raw and a painted version of each model.

Having done the new Land Raider I'm pondering whether to try a new color scheme.
It should be quick to paint.

Right now I try out a dirty light grey and a friendly black, because you're always dressed correctly, when dressed in black.

Or stay with old brownish color scheme, what do you think ?

I usually make miniatures for some days. Usually enough to last for a lifetime. I made and painted 8 way back when haven't printed one of those Stalkers in the last 5 years.

Having said that, I'm currently switching to "current" models as the last images show.

So there is also a new Stalker and Hunter model.

As usual the raw models don't look much when raw and enlarged too much and they will look better when painted.

Image

Will post a picture when painted.
