Going back to Pete Townsend, you could have a Noise Marine smashing his guitar. Or how about a Flying V that was popular with hair metal bands?

So I had a lot more free time tonight than I thought I would, and I worked on a few of the "Famous guitarists"

Here's Jimi Hendrix, with his guitar on the ground on fire (this one's for you, Dave):

I just ended up cutting the guitar off of his chest, and shaving it down a bunch, and green-stuffed arms in the air, as well as flames on the ground. I had to get some initial sand down on the base, since the guitar is supposed to be lying on the ground, and I'll go back and do a proper sand/rock base later. I'll re-prime tomorrow once the green stuff is cured (hopefully).

And here's Eric Clapton's SG, a suggestion from one of the guys I work with:

It's a little hard to tell in the picture...but in person it looks pretty ok. I had to look this guitar up when my co-worker told me about it, and it was pretty cool, but highly detailed. But I figured I'd give it a shot anyways. Here's a reference picture for the actual guitar if you don't want to google it:

Well, Epicomp is over, so I figured I'd post my entries here.
(although it's probably obvious which ones were mine )








I'm pretty pleased I came away with a heat victory...I've got a few projects for next year started already!

I do still have a few guitarists to go...a headband is easy enough, and I might be able to work in one of the guys from Gwar...I've also had requests for some ZZTop, Kurt Cobain, and others. There's definitely going to be a guy smashing a guitar over his head.

I'm hoping these guys perform admirably tomorrow! Maybe a few more pictures tonight, if I get to work on them
