This is a community service!

1 minor point, with the very human looking stuff why not a PDF armour force?

The next photo shows a mini of Kanazuchi Battle Armor. ?In abttletch this is a massive infantry battle suit. ?In our universe I think it fits in nicely as a Killer can, maybe a dread.

Here is is with ork dreadnought and old school tin bot.

Well that's the show folks. ?I would love to here want you think of these as proxies and whether or not you feel I've classified them into the proper categories for epic.

oh yeah this thing is cool... ?:D

Wov!

This is exactly what I'm talking about!

I'll add my GHQ models to this thread until Cybershadow creates a gallery or whatever he had planned

Wow! Ok, I'm up now, CC :D
Comments:
1 - thanks for all these great pics - loved the reverse evolution ?one! with the conga line and road rage ones being close contenders - they're different from the Ork stuff, but that's what I really love about the orks - as long as the army scheme is unified, and the troops look at least a bit orky, you can get away with anything (well, maybe not Eldar...), which means those models can be used as Orky stuff, as pdf stuff stolen by the orks, anything goes! the plethora (gotta love that word - anyone remember that old film The 3 Amogos? ) of tracks and half tracks and multi-tracks makes for an orky look too.
3 - Paint them, CC! I want to see the army ready :D

And thanks for the honourable mention
And now I've got this terrible idea of Orkified Eldar vehicles! Ugh! Go away!

Your very right,

Many of these vehciles can function very well as human PDF or just different equiped IG. ?

These vehciles represent to me the most orkey of the line and hopefully with a little conversion and added armor plates look even more like the captured horde or a Blood axe warboss.

I really wanted to expand my ork armored forces to make a armored WAAAGH. ?I already have 9,000 points of IG.

I already had a good amount of the pastic battle wagons and the new metal ones didn't completely apeal to me so I went outside GW to find suitable vehicles.

There are many more vehciles in the Ironwind range that I didn't even consider as "Not oddball" enough or "too clean". ?I think those would be perfect for alternative human forces.

For example I think this would amke an excellent Leman Russ alternative:

The key thing I have discovered through this excercise is that the Ironwind minis tend to be bigger than the GW range.  So be careful or your Vanguisher subsitute, because GW doesn't sell that figure seperately   , may tower over your standard Leman Russes.

Thanks for the comments guys

No it - it shouldn't - a folder should be created so you could state explicitly what you were showing and what for :D

This is great guys. Perhaps I should let you know what I have in mind for the 'alternative minis' section...

Pictures: I was thinking here of a picture of the miniature next to what you think that it would make a good proxy for (one suggestion, if you think that the mini would work for a number of units), and on the other side a standard trooper for infantry (a tactical Marine, Guardsman, Ork Boy, etc) or standard transport/tank for AV units (chimera/Leman Russ, Rhino/Predator, etc).

Details: I would then also like the follwing information - manufacturer/company, rank/specification, web link (if available), suggested proxy for which unit, and any further comments.

I will put together this section soon and we can compile these into a resource.

Thanks.
