Hi guys,

My playgroup has been getting into NetEpic and I thought it was time to dust off all the titans and knights I have picked up over the years to see what I have and look into painting them.

I plan on calling them the Legio Templar "The Protectors of the Imperium" and i'm thinking of doing a quartered red white scheme (though this might change as my painting isn't the best). I also plan on magnetising all the weapons of the titans so I can mix and match. I have tried it with one of the Reavers using some 3mm rare earth magnets and the weapons seem to be held on quite strongly.

So without further ado, here are some pictures of them.

The full Legio

The Warlords

The Reavers

I will post more pictures of the Knights later when I have more time and maybe even some painted ones.

Nice collection!

May I suggest painting just what you need for a 3K game first, and expand from there? Fielding all of those would be something for an Epic All-Weekend game :)

If you want to make a strong, playable list, I'd recommend investing in a few T'Bolts, Marauders and Sentinels. They round out the Titans nicely.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I like big stompy robot games (big fan of Battletech as well), so even though I wasn't playing Epic for years, I still picked up titans and knights here and there. Still need one or two more knights to finish of a couple of detachments.
This isn't going to be a short project and I am not the quickest of painters, so working my way through them may take some time. Will most probably start with a Reaver and a few Warhounds to support my Salamanders (who also need to be painted).
As a Titan Legion I plan on expanding them with some troops and flyers, but that will be some way down the line.

For those who are interested, this is the full list of models:

1 Imperator Titan
8 Warlord Titans
7 Reaver Titans
4 Warhound Titans
2 Knight Baron
10 New Knight Paladins
3 Old Knight Paladins
9 New Knight Errants
2 Old Knight Errants
7 New Knight Lancers
10 Old Knight Lancers
6 Knight Castellan
6 Knight Crusader
11 Knight Wardens

Hmm I need more Gargants! This looks a challenge. I have to admit the name could do with something Google Translate bungs stuff into latin and that might help. Inidentally do you have a colour scheme in mind I have another looted Warlord which could use some paint.

Very nice. I too have a huge titan collection and now I think you inspired me to start a similar project. Will follow this closely

Ah, but the name is a twist on the original meaning. The Knights Templar were the "Protectors of Christian Pilgrims and the Holy Sepulcher", now in the 41st millennium they have risen again as "Protectors of the Imperium and Defenders of the Golden Throne".

I am hoping to do them in a Red/White quartered scheme as a nod to the original Templar colours.

Since that picture was taken they have expanded by a few extra titans as well ;D

Cool, likewise will return they favour if you post some pictures.
Not sure when these will see some paint, slowly painting some Salamanders at the moment. Maybe when I have got a few detachments of marines done I might try and do a Reaver.

Hey, btw! About the magnets. How thick are the ones you will use? I have drilled my warlords and will be using 3mm diameter and 2mm thick.

Hey there,

The magnets I have are 3mm diameter by 1mm deep, but 2mm should work. In fact since you posted, I have been thinking about getting some 2mm ones for use on the titans and using the 1mm on the weapons. The 2mm ones should be more secure in the holes.
