righto, time to fire this plog up again, apologies for the absence, baby #2 turned up a few weeks back and I've been struggling for the last year with work-related upper limb disorder (repetetive strain injury by another name) with my wrists which has made painting a painful and frustrating experience to say the least.... my Eldar have stalled at the falcons and void spinner, I'm halfway through a vampire and have more falcons and wave serpents basecoated, but at the moment Eldar just aren't floating my boat, so I've decided to fall back on my old standard and get some more imperial fists stuff painted
I wanted to be realistic in my goals, and the whole 12k+ army is just not feasible inside a year, plus I have many other armies including EUK skitarii to be getting on with, and the more time I focus on one force, the less time I spend on other things and lack of variety in gaming terms = sad panda
so here's a pic of what I want to get painted before the year is out
on the left are the IF-specific formations (minus 4 techmarines for the thunderfire cannons and six land raider crusaders that are taking an AGE to get the CAD bits made up for....) in the middle are non-specific stuff I want to get done to boost both the fists and the codex marines, and on the right are some predator annihilators, because well, I want two formations
and the big white hunk is a bit of castellum stronghold I found in a box, it will make a lovely bastion proxy dontcha think?
wish me luck.... tell me I'm dreaming... but I just got the paints out and filled a mug with water and dish soap.... it is officially back
