I went for an elephant myself :)

This is an unpainted mock-up of my chaos war alter Slaanophant (I was thinking of hollowing out the vaguely phallic tower/icon on his back and having a flashing LED towards the top shining out in pink or multi-coloured light)

Just try and think of something weird and/or perverted and possibly involving giant speakers. Also try looking through the chaos sections of online sites selling seperate GW bits for appropriate bits.

A quick google for Slaanesh War Altar found these also:

Thanks and happy to help. The elephant is a model from the Warmaster Araby range (I just cut off the rider and the spike on the top of the tower/icon).

From experience, do not make it too big. I bought one myself and it is far too large. It was cool however so I played a game with it and found that there was absolutely no way to keep it out of LoS of the enemy. So just remember what DC it is and keep it similar in size to like models - unless of course you are feeling lucky ::)
