Has anyone tried to make some of the imperial assassins?
I was just thinking about the conversions I have seen and I thought it would be fun to have a couple of those bad boys (and Girls) in the collection.

I have done a few experiments but haven't actually painted anything up yet. Two of the designs are based on the old Chaos Android. A Vindicare which is basically the android minus the "bajonet" on the rifle, and an Eversor which has had the gun removed and replaceed with a slightly modified Bolter from the Chaos Lord. Another idea is to base the Eversor assasin on the Marine Medic; they are roughly the same pose but the head might need some kind of replacement.
Cheers!

I was thinking a Callidus Assassin could be made using one of the Eldar banchee figures. It would need some changes and then let the paintjob finish the look.
Thoughts???

I've seen an assasin made from a Banshee base & made my own version years back. The one in question was part of the Sisters of battle detachment that made 2nd(?) place in UK Golden Demon 1997.
I like the idea of using the androids for eversors.
The medic is a little too bulky IMHO, but if you want to go that route I guess all it would require is a chaplin's head.
They're one of those things that have been on my "one day..." list forever but I'll probably never get around to. I'll think onit some more & come back to it in the net few days if I come up with any ideas

I've thought about making some, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
I've been too busy with my Necron and other projects.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

I am looking forward to seeing your Epic scale Monolith. Can't wait to see the other things you come up with.

Hi Dafrca,
So when will the Necrons make their first public showing? - Dafrca. |
I'm not sure. I've been thinking about this project for years and started working on it almost two or three years ago.
I paint a few test pieces every now and then although I'm getting the "Necron" bug again lately. I wish I cou;d have them done for this weekend to show Jervis.

I'm not happy with the latest sculpt. I may redo it in pieces. My idea was to sculpt the Monolith in four pieces:
1. - Left and right sides
2. - Front piece
3. - Back Piece
4. - Top piece (roof)
I'm having problems getting the back sculpted.
I wanted to make it simple enough that I could cast it with low-grade resin or even Plaster of Paris. I don't know if I'm going to succeed. I have also not cast the top crystal. My nephews have "donated" some Lego crystals! (EVIL LAUGH!)
Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

The assassin is right in the middle, but is rather difficult to see, as it is dark colours on dark.... ? | Yes, I had seen that picture. At the time I did not even know what the round base in the middle was. You are right, very very hard to see. Oh well, guess I am just TOL.
