Hi guys,

After the picture of one of GW early thunderhawks but not the thunderbrick ! next to a GW terminator.

Yes strange request, But i managed to print some 3mm termies on shapeways as someone kindly gave the file on the net, Also found a file for raiders in the same scale so got those printed too. Not cheap at all and found the printing to be very expensive for a side project. But had never tried printing anything so thought i would give it go.

Will just be a small termie force of 50 plus a few raiders, But i wanted to see how the old gw metal thunderhawks would scale up to a 3mm termie mini, as if it works it would be a nice addtion to the little force.

This is just a project to see what they paint up like and how they will look based etc, fingers crossed they turn out well, this is one of those little projects that is just doing it for the sake of doing it, I am sure i am not the only one who does this sort of thing lol.

Do you mean this T/Hawk version from E40K ? Or the SM2 version ?

Yes the EPIC 40k one or SM2 , To be honest did not think the size difference would be as much as that between the two models

I need to see which one of those 2 t hawks a 3mm minature would scale best up to, if you could you do me a favour and put a 3 or 4mm bit of plastic next to them, then i presume i you have a fordgeworld t hawk and put a normal scale 6mm minature next to that,

Then decide which of the 2 old metal t hawks look the closest to the fw t hawk scale

Do not worry about the hassle of photographs i will take your word for it l4 if you could do this it would be greatly appreciated

My Camera is not working, have to get it repaired. However, the front smaller wing called a canard (I think) ...
On the E40K Hawk its about 4 mm and the SM2 is about 3mm ... Hope that helps ?
