Included so far:

2 Tank Coy. - 1 of SG Russes, 1 of GHQ T-80s

Chimaeras - SG. Will work on getting the GHQ BMP-2s painted.

Sentinels - Need to paint the flesh on the faces, and the bases.

Guard Infantry - Test Stand. Will probably do patchy grass cover going forward.

Fire Support - Test Stand. Blobby flesh. Not sure how Mech Inf. can build sandbag emplacements so fast, but what the hey.

Comparisons of SG vs. GHQ models.

T-80 vs. Russ

BMP-2 (unpainted) vs. Chimaera

Yeah, the T-80s are Russes. I'm planning on using the BMP-2s as Chimaeras, and (when I get my hands on some) I'll use the M109A6 Paladins as Basilisks.

In the last few days, I've continued work on my Steel Legion. I sould really paint up the last few Eldar for the Epic Tourney at the Chicago Battle Bunker on the 16th, but I've got some time.

So, in order of completeness:

1) My sentinal squadrons are done. This patchy ground cover be the standard for all my basing from here on.

2) My RHQ is continuing apace. The front 8 stands lust need static grass and edging on the bases. The back 6 are drybrushed. On the rear right you can see my Commisar stand, to be switched out when neccessary.

3) A comparison. When I basecoated my last batch, I tried my hand at some drybrushed camo. Still not sure what to think. Any thoughts here?

Next time I'll try and get a group shot of my 3k Iyanden Army - if I can figure out how to apply the paint scheme to SM Falcons.

Try giving the tanks a thin wash of badab black for more contrast. Once that is completely dry you could giver everythig an ever so light drybrush of desert yellow, command khahi or bleached bone (depending a bit on what tone you prefer) to pick out the very top details more.

OK, had to dig this out... maybe I should paint more...

Got psyched for Baran all over again last night. had a 4k game against marines... flaked out and for got to take in play pics, but here was the board after my garrisons...

Lost due to poor set-up on my part, but an impressive looking game nonetheless.

Anyhow, got out the paints and finished my RHQ.

As you can see, half of the bases are sanded, half are not. Going forward I'm not going to sand them, 'cause I'm a lazy git. The flash makes the sanded ones look much muddier than they do IRL.

One of the problems I had last night was during setup. I didn't leavr gaps between Coy. lines, and got REALLY messed up as to where the divisions were. So I added color coded lines to the back of each stand. I figure I can just work my way through the foundations in order, and I'll have enough colors to accomodate if I ever get filthy rich.

Comments are welcome.

My Seigemasters - the painted ones - are finally starting to look like an army.

2 Coy. (Front), 1 Coy. (Rear R), 1 Hvy. Tank Plt. Section 1 (Rear L)

Completed 2 (Orange) Coy.

Varnished 1 Hvy. Tank Plt. Section 1. Section 2 needs gunmetal detailing and a Devlan mud wash to be complete.

I have a few trench sections complete, too.

A portion of 1 Coy. mans a defence line.

Not much new to say. Next up are a Seige Anti-Air Battery and a Light Tank Plt., then the fortifications for what I've done so far.

21st Tank Regiment, 1st Heavy Tank Coy. A Plt.

47th Artillery Regiment, 1st Artilley Coy.
