Here the last miniature of my first 3000pts Saim-Hann army : the Avatar.

Well actually, my army is only 2950pts as I hadn't time to end my objectives. But I will count the Ying-Yang objective as a Wraithgate, and my Saim-Hann army will have to fight to rescue eldar or chaotic artifacts from imperial bunkers.

So, the Avatar :


This avatar is a survivor. It escape from acetone bath many times yesterday evening.
At first, I tried to paint the avatar "hot inside, colder outside", so white/yellow at the armor plates jounctions, and black/red on plates. But I was unable to do so properly. So, it ends yellow & red wash.
Its cape starts white, then red, then black, then black with runes. But it still wasn't fit. So it turn white again, and finally red !
Hair and spear also change colors many times.
As I wanted bringing a fully painted army at the 1st Brittany Epic meeting this sunday, I forced myself to complete the painting of the avatar, with the though to put the avatar into acetone sunday evening. But finally, I like my avatar, and the many layers of paint are not visible.
No acetone for Kaela Mensha Khaine !

Very nice looking Wild Rider army.  Since I am new to EA, and cannot pick out points at a glance, is there any way you could provide an army list for your 3k host?  Assuming this is the correct forum for that, or if you want to divulge your army list secrets.

Also some comments on your first game with them would be nice.  I am always interested to hear if the “Curse of the Painted Figureâ€Â

I was thinking where was only one type of Nightwing mini, but I discovered in my blister a Nightwing with roquets pod and a thinner cocpit (the one on the right side)

The pictures are overexposed, so the red is not enough red. The true color looks more like the one on Nightwings.

Very nice conversions -- giving some extra life to those guitar-pick Falcons!

Cute advertisement for 'ready to use' spackle or joining compound. Useful stuff, though I'm trying to figure out why California has issued 'carcinogen' warnings for the stuff I've looked at.

I also discovered the 2 nightwing phenomenon for the first time a month or so back when my mate painted up his and I noticed they had rocket pods.

I relaunch my painting machine (stopped for 1 year).
So here is my second Phantome titan :

I changed the position of the fist in order to make it look as a main weapon, and not juste a secondary weapon, behind the shotting thing.
