congrats :) What i really like about the lighting effect is the subtlety/quality of the 'light' on the back of the head, very thoughtfully done rather than the usual fantasy OSL approach of drybrushing half the mini in luminous colours ::)

Ghundra,
As said your choice of colours is brilliant, Its still orky but not over the top. Love the electrical thing, very frankenstein ;) Is that a weapon or a power source for the big fella.

Keep up the great work regards epic

Thanks for the compliments guys! :)

Epic, the tesla coil is my representation of the Power Field/Kustom Force Field generator. The odd little mounting point for the Mekboy Gargant's 3rd arm seemed like a good spot.

Elsmore, the light reflection was primarily done by blending with thinned oils. I started with a very limited amount of light drybrushing to help establish where the color should end up.

The interior is one of the more surprising details and it just screams for some additional furniture & gubbinz. 6mm couches? A laundromat?

A half hour of work got me through the easy bits. Figuring out drivers for the arms/legs and detailing the skeleton is going to eat up considerably more time. Fun stuff ahead!

More progress:

I put a magnet under the arm actuator to hold the sides together. One should do the trick once I get some interlocking plates on the exterior. More wires/cables to come for both floors.

The other side with it's nookleear reaktor. A combustion or steam engine just seemed a bit silly. Big gun munitions will be going in where the boy is.

As always, C&C appreciated. ;)

I like these but how are you going to make the interiors viewable after assemble?

Magnets. I have 4 stashed around the interior that hold it together.

I'll also be grinding off some of the exterior detail around the hull section edges and adding interlocking plates to hide the line where the sections come together. The overall plan is to have the head, arms, & feet attached to the front of the model. That front section will be secured to the base and you will be able to pull the back section off. ;)
