First up is what will likely become a proxy for a Soopagun.  I had an old Big Lobba laying in my bits box and it seemed like a good fit for this project.  I still have detail to add and am trying to figure out how to make an ammo crane for the back end.

Very, very nice!

What are the little wheels from?!

That big gun looks astounding (yes, I'm using a different word today. I'm fed up saying Amazing or Awesome) I get the feeling that there should be a grot with a crash helmet pocking his head out the top.  :))

The ammo crane... do you have any old IG Bombards? They have a crane winch and shell that may be what you are looking for. The shell may be too small but that would be easy to replace.

Thanks for the kind words. :))

@Chroma, the front wheels are from an old 1/35th A7V's (WW1 lunchbox tank) running gear.  Back bit is off the Mk1 Wartrak.

@Warhead, that's a great idea and I might have one in bits somewhere.

It's funny because that particular lead from the early AT/SM era never really fit with the SM2/TL stuff, but he is spot on for an EA Oddboy Slaver.  Surly looking with a whip and a wrench...PERFECT! :vD

Cool Flakwagons and that Big Gunz idea looks interesting.

Cheers

Finished the major stuff for the crane.  It's a little OTT, but that's Orks.  A few more bits and I can move on to getting this sucker painted.

Looks nice, very nice. The only criticism I have is the base. Why would you use such a tall base for Epic? Surely it would look better to use a flying stand maybe sanded down on the top a bit?

Frankly, I used what was on hand & easy.  It really wouldn't be much of an effort to simply nick off the "skirt" of the 25mm base and that would leave me with something near Epic base thickness.

I just might consider doing that as I have my Stompas on 25mm rounds as well and I've never been a huge fan of the added height for them.

Very nice stuff there. I don't know how you can micro-model on this scale without glueing your own fingers together  :p  oh and I find coins to be amongst the best things for small round bases (in oz 20c is usually perfect for anything) :)

Awesome!

I think a smaller base would add to the model too.

tastic work  I'll echo the others regarding the base. I also think you might need a wider base: That crane looks like it could break very easily protruding like that :)

Whoa, this is looking even better. (Dude. Seriously, a Grot with a crash helmet poking out the cannon  :)) ) Very nice crane. I'm not a debaser (a song from the Pixies... oh, nevermind) ...I mean I don't bother much about bases and also like to use what's to hand and easy... but Warmaster Nice does have a point with the overhanging crane. You don't want it getting damaged.

Actually it looks like it would fit nicely on a 2x4 cm Warmaster base
