Number two.

Trying to make some semi-believable shell casings ejecting from the front guns.

Here's the rebuild/repaint of the page 5 Stompa. An extra helping of cyclops and metal.

In between building up several more shokkattackdeffkoptas, I was struck with the need to address my lack of Supa Stompaz. Lets review the options! :D

1. The "new", "official", & "fancy" GW Supa Stompa:

A dramatic departure from the bell-shaped Orky war machines of yore and obviously created by the sneaky Tau as part of a plot to inspire years (literally!) of horrid Stompa scratchbuilds in 28mm land. Is a Warboss going to hope something holds still long enough to roll up and bonk it in the head with that hamma? Really?
Note similarity to the common Tau house robot:

Sneaky Tau...they laugh at us.. >:(

2. The Mekboy Gargant:

While it wasn't what anyone expected to see following the art in the Ork & Squat Warlords book, it still had some proper Orky bits and an assortment of third arms! Still, you would need to muster quite a few boyz to push it toward the enemy before it could get in reach to whoopass. Like an obese penguin, it ain't walking anywhere.

With the above being largely unsuitable for use, solutions & opportunities abound! ;D

As I'm working on my Ork Horde these days, I found this thread very inspirational. Awesome work! I may steal from you! ;)

Further adventures in 6mm weathering silliness. ::)

In pursuit of a way to bring even more detail nobody will see to the tabletop, I have been working on getting some paint chipping effects down for Da Boyz. Here are a couple of tests on a Stompa's armored plate and an old SM shoulderpad:

I'm looking to see how this plays out on vehicles next.

I saw that effect on a FW large scale Space marine on CMoN, and it is a great effect. You've pulled it off perfectly. Great job.

Great idea, i've seen it used over at CMoN as well, but never on 6mm stuff.
