Those Tau really look great. I love the stuff Onslaught is doing - proper proxies. Are they made out of resin or white metal?

Great work, really very inspiring. How do you separate the models from their cast on bases? I thought about just using a Stanley knife, but im worried about making a mess!

I start by removing as much of the base with side clippers, these enable you to get right up to the edges of the feet. Then I remove the remaining base (directly under the feet) with a file, drill a hole. At this point I re pose the mini before attaching the stand. If you would like, I can make a 'how to' entry on my blog?

A how to would be great. Also how to repose? are you cutting off arms and legs, or carefully bending stuff?

Thanks guys. I've just realised that I used a flash on the Skyray pic and it's washed out the colour. Those extreme highlights on the red are orange, not white.

Here's some more Sunday afternoon eye candy. I've been working on making up numbers in a few of my units, namely, Crisis Suits, Hammerheads plus a unit of Devilfish (Broadsides are still down by one). I'm waiting on an order from Deacon before adding any more real weight. Below are a few pics of the new stuff (in darker red) as well as some army pics.

File comment: I've modelled these slightly differently, at a sharp angle, not sure if they look like there darting forwards or slamming on the breaks. Either way, I think they look like they have a lot of movement in them.
