I tried yellow/red last night and it didn't work for me. I think I'm going with a lime green.

Thanks Apoc. Have you seen The Wargaming Companies new plastics? We have a local looking to get some.

I'm trying to figure out the scheme for my Slaanesh Titans this week. I'm pretty happy with the purple to magenta armor transition. It's way more blue in the photos than in real life though (leave it to Slaanesh to mess with color balanace). The black bits will be gold, brass or silver but I'm still thinking on the weapon pod looking bits that are white right now. Thoughts?

I had not seen those no, those look great (although their website is bizarre and the pack selections are very inflexible at this stage but better detail than the metals I have, but those plastics dont look great price wise!) Will keep an eye on them thanks.
(Edit, having just checked, those plastics cost as much as metals, but without the pack flexibility, better sculpts, but still…)

Titan looks great, got some more of those to do myself … sometime. interested to see how the colours work out, try it and see

Our fourth annual Shieldbash Invitational Tournament is coming up and I wanted to add a few more troops to the Vidaar warband. Four Bondi are nearly done but I also decided to really lean into the Viking influence this year and re-shield my existing warriors and these new guys as well. The shields are two pieces of plastic card and the fisheye stickers I've been using from my Imperial Guard hatches. I plan to make decals or stickers of some Viking shield designs for them, and sculpt some handles on the back.

I got around to getting the shield designs on these and flocking them in the nick of time, ShIT's tomorrow! I also finished up my addition to the trophey and another surprise as well. Pics next week!

<p>Since I had the airbrush out for topcoating I also hit my Flawless Host warband as well so I could flock and tuft them up. Aside for a decal on the banner they're good to go.

Also, here's my addition to the trophy for this year.

And my surprise that I've been working on, a viking longship. It's a 1:60 kit that I cut and sanded to be waterline, added some Kikak ear fins with plasticard and putty, and added my shields to as well. Rigging to come at a future date, a transformer exploded down the street the last night and I didn't get a chance to finish it.

So on September 7, Kal told me that I couldn't play my Slaanesh Knights at the Fall In tournament (boo!!!). Rather than take something else I've played previously I thought it would be a good, quick challenge to paint something up in two months time. Enter the Necrons that I've had build since 2011 and that I've tried twice now to finish up. What you see below is some 3,930 points that I've been slogging through these last eight weeks.

I originally had plastic Chaos Androids for the Warriors but swapped them out with the old Exodus War Edonites sometime after 2017. So build, primed, and sprayed silver was pretty much my starting point except for the bigger stuff which I based (and I even painted the Destroyer bases!).

Progress was going pretty good right up until I got to the Monoliths. I went through four different schemes for these guys (stripping them at one point) before I settled on this one. I think I could have done better if I took some more time on them but honestily I was just looking to get them finished this past week.

At this point I have some 36 infantry, 12 vehicles and 7 war engines to finish up. We'll see how much I want to come back to them after Fall In, as I've got more Slaanesh Knights and some 6mm American Civil War looking for paint too.

Thanks Apoc.

I barreled through the last of the Necron infantry I have built this week, finishing up the Pariahs and another six Destroyers. I need to finish converting some Flayed Ones and then pick up some Wraiths.

Beautiful painting with a very unusual but effective paint scheme. The pariahs in particular are superb (I love the subtle grading of colours on the weapons).

Magnificent !

Amazing looking army! Love the colour scheme (I think the Monoliths definitely did come out alright in the end so worth the effort!) and the Exodus Wars minis work really well as the warriors I think, they look spot on.

Thanks guys.

I finished up the Questor Titan that I left nearly finished a few months back. I went with green for the wepaon pods.

I also finished converting six stands of Flayed Ones this week as well. I cut strips of plasticard into long triangles, glued them together, and then glued them to the Exodus Wars models to give them claws. Definitely one of the fiddleist conversions I'm done. Six more stands to go. :P

Finally, I finished another unit of Union Infantry. I based the other eight I've done at somepoint too but never took a picture. They need basing still.
