Well...it's certainly been a while! Epic Painting has been forestalled by getting games in, attending tournaments and the general burnout of finishing one army after another and needing a break...not to mention working full time having just bought my new boat (AKA home: more on that later...) and getting ready to set up a blog/website (MoK Miniatures) to show off and bring in some commision work; of which i can promise you a suprise on once it's up and running ÂÂ

ÂÂ
Anyway: i have found SOME time in the above hectic schedule to continue trying to get the rest of my orks finished. I've been reading the Forgeworld masterclass book recently (part of my plan is to get back into Sci-FI AFV modelling) so i decided to try out some of the techniques therein.
Not sure if they translate well into Epic Scale and i'd probably be better off asking Vaissh and Olly for tips on paintchips but i'd like to know what people think about the weathered style and how it fits with what i view to be my signature cartoon realism:

Comments, criticism and advice are hereby welcome :-)

EDIT: I don't know what other people think BTW but I'm pretty sure that I've decided that the slasher gargant is my favourite epic model of all time: it's just go something about it: the rear detailing is really nice but something about it's simplicity and sheer silliness (that head!) just makes me smile: it seems to sum up some of my favourite points about epic all in one little (large!) model
