Dang, the GW Leman Russ tanks from the EA era were cast like crap. They're craptastic and crapfull.

Mon dieu, I'm jonesing to buy the FormLabs 1+ printer. Gotta save for that house, though...

http://formlabs.com/products/3d-printers/form-1-plus/

They sent me a print sample, and I'm pleased. Resolution is as good as Shapeways FUD, but without the weird greasiness that interferes with paint. The grey resin should also photograph well.

I enjoyed that bar chart

Yeah, it's crazy fancy. Probably displeases the Kickstarter backers of the first Form 1 printer, but first is generally worst.

Hi!

Nice price. :)

If I new how to do 3d designs I would have gotten me one of these ages ago. But having the printer is only half the equation. Being able to make the designs to print stuff is just as important.

Which is why I leave it to wiser men than I. ;)

Form 1+? Why not go for the form 2?

Unlike my avatar, I don't really have a rocket car and a solid gold house. Form 1+ is $2800, Form 2 is $3500.

It says the Form 2 can print to resolutions of 25 microns! Surely not well, has anyone seen anything that tests this resolution? Man, I'd love one of these and it's well within my play money range (Single with no kids for the win).

Hi!

Well primarch is always looking to invest in exchange for 3d designs. My project queue is vast. ;)

The following pics are jobs done by Steve Marr / Onyx, and can be found on his thread. I'm compiling them here as appropriate to the thread.

In retrospect, I find my choice of reds to be too dark. I should have gone for a thin red, such as the one Steve is using on his chaos superheavies. In real life there are undertones of purple, and this doesn't feel very martiany.
