I like it! Good call on the skull. Goes from just another generic dread to an 11! Tons of character and tons of trophies, just what a venerable space wolf dreadnought always wanted. :)

Started taking a few steps in getting the Ven Dread painted up. Picked out larger details and hit them with a wash. Will go back and dry brush them later along with more details and the banner. C&C always welcome!

Nice job, man! Any time a dread can have a bearskin kilt that's a win.

Be careful fielding that thing though. Dave has a habit of picking out favorite hand-crafted units and dropping a landing craft on their heads, even if they're broken and huddled for warmth on your own baseline. No exaggeration :P

To tie it in with another thread, Dave's Space Marine tactics: drop 1200pts of loaded landing craft on broken 200 pt formations. Win engagement. Drink tears.

But he'd be joining a long and storied line of opponents who have killed the dread...haven't had him survive a game yet. Having a fearless anchor for the BTS is useful though.

All that aside, thanks for the compliments. Hoping to finish it up this weekend. Pictures to follow hopefully.

Managed to finish the dread up tonight; I'll focus on churning out the rest of the army for NEAT now.
