and the first of two Rough Rider Squads is finished. They were alot of fun to paint and were done quite quickly, oh how I love 6mm miniatures.



I might add a flag to one if the bikers to mark a possible kommisar stand, any ideas what makes a good material for a banner? Cause I am not that happy with the thing I used for the command hq flag.

Under the modern background, "Rough Riders" refers to any kind of "light cavalry" used by the Imperial Guard, which can mean Horses, Bikes, Trikes, Lizards, small Dinosaurs, Mechanical Horses, etc.

I have a little update to show you. Finally I can field a manticore battery and I have my blitz objective.





Recycled a paint GW paint cap, a flying base rod, superglue tip and some sprue to build an observation bunker.
Not quite happy with it but its cheap and does the job.

Upcomming up next is a missle silo objective and I started working on the first Vulture.

Any collection of nose art is incomplete without a pinup girl, right?
There's also Felix the Cat - a great image of a black cat running with an old fashioned bomb with a lit fuse, if you've never heard of him.
Griffons are always cool, although I'm aware of (a now disestablished, I believe) USN squadron that had a griffon, but it earned the nickname "Pukin' Dogs" because the griffon's head was bowed.

Really awesome work as always...
