Hi Lexstar,
If your going for the ultra marines colour scheme, I personally prefer them with white helmets. Not sure what your paint style is but i would spray the minatures with a light coat of skull white to keep the detail, paint the body ultra blue, paint the weapons red, and a quick black wash all over! then paint the shoulder pad edges gold and the front belt buckle and back buckle, and then paint the white U on the shoulder and one on the front leg plate!

Do a test piece, i always do on a standard figure nothing worse than sculpting and converting and painting and not been happy, dont be afraid of the black wash! it make the figure look much better!

also on my terminators i painted the eyes green and that made them stand out a bit more!
