Ok this might sound like a silly question, but what ever happened to the Undead? Ya know... Vamps, Ghouls, Zombies and the like. All the other races from WarHammer, Human, Elf, Dwarf, Ork and Chaos are found in WH40k and Epic40k. Seems like the Undead as a race have, hmmm, well died out! Personaly Id like to see some proper undead ghostships in BFG. Ive started making a Chaos Fleet and gona try my best to give them that pirate ghost ship look And thinking about BFG, I think a Squat Fleet would look cool too

they were there once

however this Citadel Limited Edition is pre Rogue Trader... therefore before fluff...
to be honest not only was there the Undead but also Santa

and Marines where not quite Marines...

The new Lost and Damned seem to fulfil the Zombie role and I am sure the inspiration came from the Day of the Dead style movies.

I always thought the Necrons where supost to be a race of Terminator like beings with a dash of "Star Gate" like stuff thrown in for good measure.

Perhaps your right krOOza, but their egyptian, sucking star system dead (vampire motiff), looking like skeletons has a strong undead motiff.

Yes, I see the Necron as the Undead of the 40K universe too. With a little Star Gate and T2 thrown in !

Hi!
I think the 40k universe covers all the traditional fantasy races and a couple more besides.

Primarch | Err....what about the skavens? I think they are the race that lacks in the 40k universe. And the stunties since they depleted and buried the squats. Instead you get the Nids to be a massed army

Xavi

Quote (Legion 4 @ 12 2003 Oct.,17:38) | No Rats (skaven) in 40K ! ?But who cares, no Rats in LoTR ! ? ? I guess, 'Nids are = Lizardmen (not in LoTR) !? ? ?Dwarfs = Squats or Demiurg - TBA ? ? ? But 40K has lots of Elves ... err ... Eldar. ?And ORKZ ! ?Plus the Evil Chaos Forces. | The Hrud are a race- in-waiting (aka Warp Vermin, aka space skaven). There was some talk of them being done for 40K4 but I havent heard a murmor on that in over a year so I think they're on the back burner once more.

Ah ... Space Rats !!! We'll see the Hrud (wasn't there a pic of them in RT, way back when ?), after the Tau, Necron, Demiurg, etc., etc. But that is an interesting bit of intell T/S !
